This is something we´ve been receiving a lot of mail about recently and perhaps with the UK economy as it is everyone is looking for a bit of a break  Grin Unfortunately its not that much better over here.

Heres a reply that was sent recently to an enquiry about working here in summer 2009:

"Bar work can in Spain can regularly be found on the coast from March onwards. In the cities themselves the climate isn´t that great as cheap labour provided by East Europeans have undercut the market and this coupled with a sluggish eceonomy has left things difficult for people from the UK / USA to maintain a good standard of living of here. Your best chance is to try one of the major resorts and go with at least two weeks money to cover you until you get a job."


Sorry its not a more positive outlook for the cities.
